The normal path to Reader (licensed Lay Minister) Ministry is to approach a minister in your church and chat. You might also like to attend one of the vocations days at the Cathedral.  Those considering a vocation will go through a discernment process culminating with interviews with Canon Paul Arthur the deputy warden to readers and a panel consisting of Bishop Hugh (Warden to Readers) Canon Jane and me- the chaplain to readers.

You may also want to talk to the Director of reader training, Rev Canon Jane Kneebone or the director of vocations The Revd Canon Jane Vaughan-Wilson  01736 351825

If you are moving into the diocese and wish to be licensed here or if your license has lapsed as a reader then the first port of call is the secretary of Readers Carrie Tucker on
